At 22 starting out as a young leader I could never have been adequately prepared for the weight I have carried as an adult in senior leadership. The pressure at times is intense and comes at you from all directions. Finances are tight. Your team might be divided. Everyone is looking to you for strength and you have such little strength yourself. If that sounds like you this encouraging podcast may be God’s word for you today.

enjoyed the podcast, I’ve been looking for a devotional-type podcast to keep me occupied on the drives in and out of the village and have really enjoyed listening to what you have to share, Chuck. Thanks for taking the time to do these.
how long are you out of the country?
Paul if you like the content then i would suggest starting in the archives in july 09 and follow the development of the thought throughout the gospel. Thanks for the feedback!
I never knew I need to stand for my conviction yesterday. I am in my last year of my degree (Community Development) and decided to take an elective unit from Social Work.
The subject is Self in Human Services Code of Ethics, and this week I realized that I am really in deep trouble. This is because this week we covered sexuality and gender, in which focus more on the issues of of gays, lesbian and transgender (etc.) and their rights. Since I’ve heard some students verbally professed the Christian influence to their world view, I courageously made my position known to the group that while I will respect and accept them as a person, my conviction will not allow me to support their appeal to be recognized as third gender.
Before I even finish my explanation, I’ve noticed that everyone was looking at me as if saying, ‘that is an un cool word to say.’ Even the so called Christians argue that my conviction is an old tradition and it is in contrast to the contemporary operational grace of God.
I did not feel sorry for myself for becoming ‘uncool’ (for the rest of the semester) Actually, I felt sorry for the Christians that is taking God for convenience.
Please pray for me that I will stand still. I know I will encounter this often because of the nature of my job. Aside from that Australia is a multicultural society, a society that is similar to Babylon.
This image actually reminds me of the movie, K-19, which is a pretty good film about two different leadership types under pressure.
