About Us

Joy in the Journey

This is how we looked after an African lady painted our faces at dinner one night. We have been married for 25 years and have been blessed with the opportunity to work together daily.

We didn’t really set out to be missionaries or to have six kids either. Both were part of the surprise blessings that came along the way as we obeyed the Lord from day to day. These two things have led to the greatest blessings of our lives.

According to the Bible our lives as disciples will be judged by two things: our faithfulness in fulfilling our roles and how we treat others in our interactions with them. We do our best to live by love and to intentionally minister to those we meet along our path.

So…love all, bless all, and serve all to the best that we can. The result of 20 years of this is an immense family of loving relationships. Support all around from deep friendships with people of every color.

A Great Adventure

We love travel, the outdoors and experiencing new cultures. Our passports have extra pages added from all our missions travel. Our children have had tea in China, watched festivals in Nepal and whales in Australia. Scuba, surfboarding, horse riding, hiking, and jumping off cliffs into water are typical pastimes for us. We have experienced earthquakes, seen governments overthrown, and have been covered with volcanic ash after Mt. Pinatubo erupted.

We have killed snakes in the house, ridden elephants and have driven on frozen roads in Siberia. We have struggled with tropical illnesses and the results of the pollution and crime of Manila.

And we wouldn’t change a thing. There has been much joy in the journey.
He has also granted us much fruit over the past 25 years. Our children love the Lord and are missionaries in their own rights. Through it all, we have found that the safest place in the world is the center of God’s will for your life.

    Hey Guys,

Remember me….Guidance Office Secretary, Cleveland High School? We first met when you were enrolling Kristen and Nathan. I had just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma. Our very first meeting, you guys gathered around me and prayed for my recovery. I am blessed to report 5-1/2 years later I have been declared “cancer free”. We aren’t suprised, are we!!!! I am so thankful that God placed your family in my life. I think of you and pray for you often. Love, Debbie

    Hi Ninong!
You both remain to be mentors of our lives, even from afar. Ruth extends her hi as she prepares to give birth this May. We will continue to view updates on your site and we shall continue to learn from you lives. We love you.
